Domain claims HTC Windows Phone 7, sells 1 in 2 WP7 phones - WMPoweruser.com

50-percent-offThere has been much speculation on the contribution of each phone Windows 7 OEM makes the ecosystem.

Now Executive Vice President of HTC Fred Liu says HTC Group sells the player important market of Windows Phone 7, selling 1 every 2 Windows phone.

This is clear despite other 4 OEM, including giants such as Samsung and LG, competing for the business.

HTC also came to say that they sell 2 of 10 Android phones.  This allows us to see little more than 10% of the business of HTC's operating system from Microsoft, which is clearly not so *.

Windows Phone 7 is therefore, it is dominated by an OEM that is not deeply invested in the operating system.  With Nokia jumping in head first, but this situation will be hopefully change quickly, and we hope that we will see more competitive devices from being freed.

Through TNW.

* (phones Android36 million in the first quarter 2011 x 0.2 = 7.2 million Android HTC phones. 1.6 million WP7 terminals in the first quarter of 2011 x 0.5 = 0.8 million terminals HTC WP7.)  0.8/7.2=11%.  Other data through Gartner.)
